Yeast infections are relatively difficult to deal with without a proper yeast infections treatment. While most skin infections of the fungus can be easily treated with the available anti fungal treatments, this is not so for nail infections. Nail infections caused by fungus generally can persist for months or even years. Because of dissatisfaction with conventional therapies, many people have been turning to home made remedies to treat their yeast infections.

The internet is full of home made recipes focused on yeast infections treatment. Almost everything under the sun has at one time been postulated to be a cure for yeast infections. There are lotions, potions, herbs, creams, ointment and sprays available in many health food stores being sold as cures for fungus.

Aloe Vera is widely sold as a cure for many medical disorders, including body fungus. This extract from the Caribbean plant is a good moisturizer and useful for the treatment of minor skin problems, like abrasion and burns. When it comes to being a yeast infections treatment, it does a great job at relieving the itch and redness.

Garlic sold as a pill or a lotion is also widely touted to cure all disease. Every single day statements are made about the superb healing properties of garlic, especially as a yeast infections treatment. Garlic is good for the body as a fungal treatment.

In the last few years, tea tree oil has been used to treat a variety of skin problems. Many claim that tea tree oil can even make you young. Others claim that this extract from the tea leaves can reduce wrinkles and be a yeast infections treatment. While there is very little empirical data on tea tree oil, it is a good moisturizer and may have some anti oxidant properties.

Baking soda has also been recommended as a yeast infections treatment. One should sprinkle the powder on to the foot and inside the shoes. Baking soda can keep the foot dry and decrease the odor. If the fungus infection is mild, it may disappear with this remedy.

There is a whole industry which is now selling immune boosting foods for yeast infections. Eating red meat, shrimps, broccoli or scallops can all be great for boosting the immune system, so they can indirectly act as a yeast infections treatment.

Cinnamon is now widely sold as a health supplement to cure everything in sight. It is sold in most herbal food stores. The foot should be soaked in a water bath with some cinnamon added. This should be repeated daily and one can even add some tea tree oil into the yeast infections treatment for good measure.

Another home remedy that can work is the use of vinegar for some skin yeast infections. Vinegar can reduce the itch but can also cause skin irritation and even worsen the itch at times. For vinegar to work as a yeast infections treatment, the skin has to be soaked it for 20-30 minutes 2-3 times a day.

One of the best home remedies for yeast infections treatment is to use a common sense approach.

-Wash your hands after coming into contact with anyone with a possible yeast infection

-Practice decent regular hygiene

-Do not share personal care items with anyone

-If you sweat lot, change your socks and shoes often. Keep the feet dry ad avoid wearing the same pair of socks everyday

- If you get a fungus of the foot, dry your feet, apply powder and wear sandals.

Be persistent with the yeast infections treatment. All fungus infections take time to heal. Nails infections can take years.

Choose socks made from fabrics which can absorb moisture. Also there are several socks which have the heels reinforced with a medicated powder for those who have recurrent infections.
